Personal Reflections on 9/11: Honoring Lost Lives
It’s been 23 years. The memories of September 11, 2001, are still so vivid. They stir up strong emotions within me. The events of that day changed the course of everyone’s lives.
However, the American resilience, strong character, and unwavering spirit of unity and remembrance continue to burn brightly.
It’s a poignant reminder that our strength knows no bounds when we come together.
Just a handful of weeks before that tragic day, I found myself there with my best friend and my parents. My father, who sadly passed away not long ago, was not one to indulge in buying souvenirs, nor was he exceptionally comfortable with tall buildings. Yet, he stood at the top of the World Trade Center. He chose a keychain and picked a photo frame from the store on the top floor. I treasure it as a memento of my dad. It also serves as a tribute to all those who lost their lives.
Chandan Chopra – forever thankful for our friendship.
For all our friends and coworkers of Sun Microsystems at World Trade Center and Phil Rosenzweig aboard AA11. 🙏
